After last Wednesday’s post on “The fragmentation of television, why TV will move online“ I thought I would put together a list of my top 10 internet TV shows. All 10 of these shows come from either Revision3 or This Week In.

1. Diggnation

Diggnation was one of the very first video podcasts and one of the first to show that this kind of content could be delivered and supported by targeted relevant advertising within the show. Each week Diggnation hosts Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht discuss that weeks biggest news stories from digg.com. Although Diggnation is coming to an end, there are 6 years worth of weekly episodes archived for you to watch.

2. Film Riot

Film Riot takes you behind the scenes to show you how to create the effects and the techniques that go into your favourite Hollywood films. Hosted by Director Ryan Connolly, Film Riot teaches you everything you need to know to create your own films. From the equipment you need to how to use professional software to get the perfect cinematography, Ryan shares his experience and what he has done to achieve the effects you see in his work. If you’re interested in the film making process, this is the perfect show for you.

3. This Week in Start Ups

This week in Start Ups is hosted by long time entrepreneur Jason Calacanis. Each week Jason has a guest on the show from the world of technology start ups and they discuss the ups and downs of starting your own company as well as sharing the wealth of experience they have picked up along the way. If you are looking to start your own internet related company, This week in Start Ups is a great way to learn from their mistakes of others.

4. The Totally Rad Show

The Totally Rad Show is a daily show hosted on the Revision 3 network. Hosted by Alex AlbrechtDaniel Trachtenberg and Jeff Cannata,TRS reviews the latest films, TV shows, video games and other random things from the internet and popular culture. Each host has speciality areas, (for example Dan has recently signed up to produce his first feature film by Universal!) and so they bring a huge amount of knowledge to their reviews.

5. Foundation

Foundation is hosted by internet entrepreneur and angel investor Kevin Rose. Kevin interviews some of the most important people from the world of internet technology start ups and business. The in depth interviews look at how the guest got to be where they are today, and reveals some of the secrets behind their success. Former interviews have included Jack Dorsey and Chris Sacca.

6. Film State

Ryan Connolly gives us a sneak preview of the latest Hollywood films in his second show on the Revision3 network, Film State. If you want to keep up to date with the latest Hollywood trailers, Film State is the perfect way to do it. Ryan covers the big releases and gives you the benefit of his professional and in depth experience to recommend which films he think will be worth seeing.

7. Mixergy

Mixergy, hosted by entrepreneur Andrew Warner, gives in depth interviews to some of the most successful internet and technology related entrepreneurs from across the world. Andrew is one of the best interviews out there as he has the ability to bring the best out of his guests and finds a way to discover exactly what makes them tick.

8. The Random Show

The Random Show (No website, look on YouTube and Vimeo, random eh?) is hosted by Kevin Rose and Tim Ferriss. Kevin and Tim discuss the latest developments in their work and life and what they have been interested in or doing since the last show. Both Kevin and Tim have been highly successful in their respective fields, and so their knowledge, experience and off-beat commentary on the latest happenings are an insight into how they think and work.

9. This Week in Venture Capital

Hosted by Venture Capitalist Mark Suster, This Week in Venture Capital takes a look at the world of business and Internet related start ups from the other side of the table. Mark interviews entrepreneurs and guests from his world and gives you the benefit of his vast experience in raising money and the future of online business.

10. AppJudgement

Over the past few years the number of mobile and tablet applications has sky rocketed. With so many out their to choose from, how do you know what is worth your time? That is where AppJudgement comes in. AppJudgement reviews all the latest mobile phone and tablet applications so you don’t have to.
